Rick and Jeanine at bedside on the day of surgery. As of Wednesday, about half of the IV tubes were removed. It's nice to see the smiles.

  1. Look'n good!!! We're so excited for the both of you. We'll be checking in all the time. As my Aunt Mary would say "PRAISE THE LORD" with a big smile on her face, her hands waving up in the air and shacking her hips. Love you both. Mary Sue &
Steve (Mom & Dad very happy too)

You're looking dapper as always! Congratulations!! We are thinking about you every minute of the day and sending every prayer your way we can. By the way Jeanine how is the old poison oak healing up? Maybe those Mayo docs have something to speed that recovery too.

WE ARE SO GLAD FOR YOU RICK THAT YOUR SURGERY IS NOW BEHIND YOU AND WE ARE CONTINUING TO PRAY FOR YOUR QUICK HEALTHY RESULTS. WE READ YOUR INFO WITH MUCH INTEREST AND FOUND IT INTERESTING THAT ONE OTHER GUY IN CHINA HAS THE SAME PROBLEM, HOPE THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOUR EYES WILL TAKE ON A NEW LOOK AND YOUR SPEECH WILL CHANGE AND YOU'LL OPT FOR TEA INSTEAD OF BEER NOW? HA! KIDDING OF COURSE. WE ARE SO PLEASED FOR YOU AND WISH YOU THE VERY BEST. WE WILL CONTINUE TO CHECK ON YOUR UPDATES WITH YOUR NEW INFORMATION. GET WELL SO YOU CAN ROOT FOR THEM DUCKS. 7. Keep getting stronger every day, Rick. You've beaten the odds every step of the way, so keep doing it.

I can't wait to kick your butt on the golf course when you get strong enough to carry both your bag and mine! Seriously, work hard to get stronger every day.

I love you guys. You both are such troopers! You'll get through it, I'm confident, with your usual grace and style. (Tell Ed to stifle it. I hear his chuckling already!)
